Start Time 7:45 First Bell 7:50 Second Bell/School Starts Attendance Procedures Please come to school on time daily! If your child arrives at school after 7:50, please have them go to the front office to receive a tardy note. They will be escorted to class. Enter Our class will be sitting down in a boy line and a girl line outside the "piko" door (facing cafe). On rainy days, JPO's will have students sit in the hallway of our building, "Mea'ohi." Dismissal For the first couple weeks of school, teachers will be taking students to their designated pick-up areas (bus area, A+, Ulu A'e waiting area, curbside, walkers, etc.). Each first grade teacher is assigned a pick-up area. I will be escorting A+, Bus, and Ulu A'e students to their designated areas. Mrs. Chun and Ms. Silva will be escorting all the Curbside students (car-riders) to the covered courts to wait for their names to be called. Mrs. Duldulao and Mrs. Tamaru will be escorting all the Walkers to the front by the office. End Time 2:05 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday 12:50 Wednesday *Please check the school calendar for days that may have an adjusted dismissal time. 2nd Recess/Snack Students are allowed to bring a snack for 2nd recess (12:25-12:40 for 1st Grade). Please keep in mind that we may have students with severe peanut allergies. Remind your child that sharing snacks will not be allowed due to food allergies. Since Wednesdays are short, we do not have 2nd recess/snack. |
Water Bottles Please provide a water bottle for your child daily. We have a water machine in our building that students will be able to use to refill their water bottles. The water fountains will also be available for students to use. Absences If you anticipate an absence or your child should become sick on a school day, please contact our front office and notify me, so we all know that your child is safe! Birthdays: We love celebrating our friends' birthdays! If you'd like to bring treats/goody bags, that is totally fine, but please keep in mind that we do have some allergies in our class. We have 22 students total this school year. Field Trip Policy Parents will receive information regarding field trips and cost about a month prior to the field trip. Please be aware of the DEADLINES on each form as our grade level will plan with our field trip coordinators and make appropriate bus accommodations.
